ONLINE TRAINING CHANGES

Mike Gedert
Training Officer

The CentreLearn Online Training Program was recently revised – these changes affect everyone on the team.

The DMAT Core was renamed and divided into two NDMS Groups:

1) NDMS Predeployment Requirements
2) NDMS Core

With these categories, new modules were added; therefore, it is highly suggested that everyone login as soon as possible, in order to check their individual progress.

Both of the NDMS Curricula must be completed, to qualify for deployment eligibility. Also, NDMS will impose disciplinary action on those who have not completed the NDMS Curricula by August 1, 2005.

The DMORT Curriculum is continually adding new modules. Team members should frequently monitor for this, to assure completion. Presently, there is no NDMS deadline for DMORT Curriculum completion; however, it is inevitable that NDMS will stipulate one in the near future.

If anyone has any problems accessing the CentreLearn Online Training Program, please contact me at mike@dmort.org, or follow the trouble-shooting instructions on the login page of CentreLearn at http://centrelearn.umbc.edu/login.asp, or contact CentreLearn Support directly at support@centrelearn.com.

Howie resides in Bannockburn, Illinois with his wife Chris and their five children: Morgan (13 years), Lexi (11 years), Brooke (9 years), Kylie (2 years), and Ian (five months). When he is not distracted with work, organized dentistry, DMORT, WMD, community services, or family, Howie enjoys partaking in his favorite hobbies: photography, computers, cycling, and scuba diving.

Howie claims that he is extremely fortunate to require only three or four hours of sleep at night – it is now very clear why!
